A Legacy Built With Love

Serving Children of All Abilities

In the spirit of Joseph’s unconditional acceptance of all people, Joseph’s parents, Vivian & John Maley founded JMF in 2008. Joseph lived with the struggles of often overwhelming disabilities, but these disabilities became the educational cornerstone for Joseph’s family, friends and everyone who met him. The Joseph Maley Foundation is Joseph’s legacy.

The Foundation’s mission is to serve children of all abilities. This is accomplished through disability awareness education, service programs teaching children to support others in their communities, scholarships, and excellence in service awards to honor those who best exemplify the spirit and actions of JMF. Collaboration with other non-profits that provide services to children such as therapeutic horseback riding, Special Olympics, cancer research, juvenile diabetes research, and summer camps for children with disabilities round out the programs available through this Foundation.

JMF is comprised of both a Board of Directors and a Junior Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is made up of many of Joseph’s doctors, nurses, caregivers and friends, which make them uniquely qualified to carry out the Foundations’ mission. The Junior Board brings a youthful perspective to serving children. In keeping with JMF’s objectives the Junior Board participates in two large community service projects a year.

We invite you to become a part of our active and growing programs, and would be honored by any gifts of time, talent and financial donations that help in this mission.

“Joseph never failed to welcome family and friends alike, with a warm smile and giant hug.”
