On July 28, 2019 a crew of triathletes will compete with athletes of ALL abilities at the Tuxedo Brothers Tri-Indy in downtown Indianapolis. This will be the second triathlon for participants in our new tri2gether initiative. As an initiative under Joseph Maley Fitness, tri2gether pairs individuals with disabilities between the ages of six and 21 with a group of experienced triathletes. The athletes with disabilities are known as the captains, while the experienced swimmers, bikers, and runners are their crew. The crew pulls and pushes the captain in specially designed kayaks, and running/racing wheelchairs.
To celebrate their efforts, increase opportunities for more athletes of all abilities to participate in triathlons throughout central Indiana, and purchase critical equipment (i.e. life jackets, rafts, tow ropes, hitches for the bikes, specialized racing wheelchairs), our tri2gether teams request that donations be made to the Joseph Maley Foundation through this platform.
Come cheer on our tri2gether teams on July 28 in downtown Indianapolis!
