Fostering a sense of belonging for ALL Youth

As You Are is an education program for youth in Greater Indianapolis. This program teaches students about gender and family diversity and emphasizes that every individual is valued and belongs in our community as they are.

As You Are uses developmentally-appropriate, standards-based curriculum for students in preKindergarten through eighth grade, and is aligned to Indiana Academic Standards, Indiana Social-Emotional Learning Competencies, and Learning for Justice Social Justice Standards.

The As You Are curriculum features puppet shows, book read-alouds, video lessons, hands-on activities, and Joseph Maley Foundation speakers.

Professional development opportunities for educators and families are available to extend learning on gender and family diversity. Documents are provided for families and educators to explain the program, answer frequently asked questions, and share additional resources to support youth.
