Meet Paul Haut, Joseph Maley Foundation board member and COO of Riley Children’s Health. Paul is a Pediatric Oncologist and has served on the JMF Board of Director’s since it’s inception. Keep reading to find out why Paul gives his time and support to JMF, and why he thinks others should too!

Why did you join JMF’s Board of Directors?

I was fortunate to be one of Joseph’s physicians when he was diagnosed with leukemia and got to know the Maley family extremely well. After Joseph passed and John and Vivian started the foundation, they asked me to join and it was a no-brainer. The philosophy that they lived by resonated with me and I wanted to help them promote that and positively impact others.

What do you hope JMF can accomplish in this new decade?

I am confident that in ten years we will look back and see that JMF has lead a movement to change the way our communities view each other and that respect for each other has become a norm. We will be more than a set of programs but will be leaders in the space of opportunity for all.

What do you want others to know about JMF?

I would like people to see the power of a small committed set of leaders to advance change in our society

Have you spent time volunteering with any of our programs or events? If so, would you please share your experience?

I look forward to the Run, Walk and Roll every year and have been a regular participant and volunteer.

How would you encourage others to get involved with JMF?

You can be involved in so many important ways, volunteering, advocacy and of course financial support. When you see the power of your impact you will be hooked and you will have to do more!

At the Joseph Maley Foundation we like to ask people to tell us their “Why JMF?” Why they support us, why they put their time, effort, and heart behind our organization. Would you please share your “Why JMF?”

Our children are our future and JMF is committed to shaping a world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstance. The health of our children is what drives me in my career and the alignment with JMF is perfect.
