Fitness
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Fitness provides adaptive and inclusive recreational activities for youth of ALL abilities. This program currently offers three initiatives: run2gether, tri2gether, and our Family Fun Days.
Family Fun Days are seasonal one-day events featuring adaptive recreational athletics and creative activities. Open to participants of all ages and abilities.
run2gether pairs youth with disabilities with experienced runners. The athletes with disabilities are known as the Captains, while the experienced runners are their Crew. The Crew and Captain work together, in specially designed running/racing wheelchairs, to train for and compete in a variety of racing events.
For more information about Fitness, or about being a run2gether crew member, please contact Executive Director, Vivian Maley at vmaley@josephmaley.org.
