Joseph Maley Foundation partners with schools and organizations to teach students in preschool through high school about vital diversity, equity, and inclusion topics, including disabilities, mental health, and gender and family diversity. Curriculum Manager Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Curriculum Manager will write, revise, and improve the curriculum for all of Joseph Maley Foundation’s educational programs. Additionally, the Curriculum Manager will identify and work with the Foundation’s education and communications team, community partners, and speakers to ensure that the curriculum is authentically representative of individuals featured in the lessons. This includes: 

  • Analyzing teacher feedback and incorporating suggestions into existing curriculum guides
  • Creating high school curriculum for the Disability Awareness and Hope programs
  • Improving the technology in the existing curriculum through the use of interactive slideshows and AI
  • Researching the latest developments and updated language in the disability, mental health, and gender and family diversity spaces
  • Fostering relationships with community partners to ensure that our curriculum contains authentic voices and information
  • Working with the Foundation’s education team on the curriculum elements of all programs
  • Working with the Foundation’s communications team to ensure we remain true to our brand
  • Identifying, developing, and stewarding relationships with potential speakers
  • Training speakers to present their story for schools 
  • Attending conferences and workshops to learn the latest strategies in the classroom and current language for the various curriculum areas

Applicant Requirements

Applicants need to have:

  • A commitment to the mission and values of our organization
  • Prior experience in curriculum development
  • Experience in the classroom implementing strategies for all learning styles
  • Strong technology skills specifically in creating engaging presentations and supplemental materials
  • Interpersonal skills to foster relationships with speakers and community partners
  • Time management and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of and experience with teaching, schools, special education, and working with children are beneficial. Experience with program management and sales and/or community relations is valued.

Hours and location are flexible, and some morning or evening hours may be required. Compensation is hourly, commensurate with experience and skills. Benefits include flexible scheduling, paid time off, and hybrid remote/on-site work.
